Alongside the site management, civil engineering, plant operation and logistics that support projects across the group, our construction team, led by Tom Delaney and Construction Director Michael Delaney, also delivers standalone building projects for clients.
Construction isn’t only there to support our renewable energy work, it’s a capability in its own right.
One example is the full refurbishment of a derelict, Grade 2 listed stately home into a working medical centre, completed in 2023, where we acted as principal contractor.
That covered M&E systems, joinery, plastering, decorating and roofing, right through to certification and handover, on a heritage building where every detail mattered.
Where our renewable energy work does rely on construction is timing. A solar, battery or EV installation almost always needs groundworks and site preparation before the electrical work can begin.
Because that’s in-house, one project manager stays accountable for your whole site, from the first groundworks to final commissioning, rather than you having to manage the handoff between separate contractors yourself.
Day to day, our scope runs from civils and new build through refurbishment, joinery, plumbing and mechanical work, shop fitting and landscaping, a wider range than most specialist renewable energy companies hold in-house, and part of why we can take on a full-site project that would otherwise need several separate contractors.
