Every Stella project begins with careful planning, long before anyone arrives on site. Construction Design Management is the team behind that planning: refining the drawings, checking the numbers and shaping the delivery plan so that everything which follows runs smoothly.
It’s not the most visible part of what we do, but it’s often what makes the biggest difference to how a project feels for our clients.

The team covers design, project management, accounting, fleet, insurance, accreditation and administrative support, all managed centrally rather than split across each capability.
That means the people producing your renewable energy system design, your electrical infrastructure design, your financial model and your health and safety documentation are all working from the same plan, so everything lines up from day one rather than needing sorting out part-way through.

Connecting a solar, battery or EV installation to the grid means working with the local Distribution Network Operator, under G99 for generation or G100 for demand. It’s a technical process, and we manage it on your behalf, so you don’t need to become a grid connection expert just to get your system switched on.
We also hold the CDM Regulations 2015 duty holder role for health and safety planning, building it in from the design stage rather than adding it once work is already underway. Every capability across the group draws on a plan CDM has produced or approved, which is what keeps a multi-discipline project moving as one, rather than several separate contracts running to different timelines.
This capability is led by Karl Watson and Robert Brown on delivery, with Allan Samme and Antony Sykes overseeing commercial and technical sign-off, and Ellie Watson looking after the financial side of every project.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. The team also provides project management, design and health and safety delivery support for clients who need that expertise without needing the full construction or electrical scope alongside it.
As early as possible. Bringing CDM in at feasibility stage, rather than once a system has already been specified elsewhere, is what allows the DNO liaison, financial modelling and site design to run in parallel instead of in sequence.
