Within the Stella Group, we are happy to see that Stella Power Plants is continuing to lead the market in delivering tailored solar and battery energy storage solutions (BESS) to the care home sector — a critical industry where energy resilience, cost savings, and sustainability are paramount.

Working closely with care providers, our team delivers bespoke systems designed to meet each site’s specific needs, while integrating seamlessly into the overall construction or retrofit programme. Each installation typically includes approximately 400 high-efficiency solar PV modules, a custom-designed solar and battery storage container, manufactured in-house by The Stella Group and a full system integration with the site’s electrical infrastructure

These systems are designed to deliver around 50% of each site’s annual energy demand, significantly reducing reliance on grid electricity and supporting operators in meeting their sustainability targets.
Our solar and BESS units not only provide long-term energy savings but also offer increased resilience, helping care homes maintain essential services even during power outages or periods of high grid demand.
