The Stella Group has recently completed and handed over of one of the UK’s largest on-roof solar PV systems, delivered by our specialist contracting division, Stella CDM.

Located at a major food manufacturing site in West Yorkshire, this utility-scale installation reflects the growing demand for high-performance renewable energy systems within the industrial and manufacturing sectors — and showcases our ability to deliver complex energy infrastructure at scale. The system was designed and built to operate at 800V AC and 1200V DC, incorporating a range of high-spec components, including:

• A new high-voltage substation
• A bespoke inverter station, built in-house by The Stella Group
• Over 12,000 solar modules
• Weather stations for environmental monitoring
• A full data and performance monitoring system

The project was delivered over an 8-month build programme, with Stella CDM acting as Principal Contractor, providing a full turnkey solution from design and planning through to installation, commissioning, and final client handover.
